Books That Make You Wonder

The Giver by Lois Lowry

At the age of twelve, Jonas, a young boy from a seemingly utopian, futuristic world, is singled out to receive special training from The Giver, who alone holds the memories of the true joys and pain of life. (Goodreads)

This book really makes you think. It puts into perspective what we really want. Do we really want everyone equal? Do we really want to be saved from the hurt of love? What are the consequences of erasing the past? I think this is a really good book to read at some point in your life because it makes you appreciate being unique and different. The plot is also very intreguing and it kept me on the edge of my seat! Overall I would definitely recommend this book, both for the plot and the message.
